Projects

Three years ago my associates and I raised funds to help reconstruct homes after the ravishing earthquake. We also arranged for food supplies to be distributed to those struggling in the aftermath of the disaster. Friends and family helped oversee this project and ensured that aid reached those most in need. Our first intervention went a long way to helping many families who were struggling without food and shelter and we look back on this as a tremendous success.

BECOME A PART OF OUR FAMILY

Our capacity for generosity defines us as humans. We all have a responsibility to take care of one another, and Kashmir Shelter has worked hard over the years to provide as much assistance as possible to the vulnerable residents of Kashmir. Many people in the area still live in poverty, although some are fortunate enough to get financial assistance from friends and family who reside in industrialised nations. We with your support are here to fill that gap.

Families support

We managed to distribute food packages to many local villages and remote areas — in total, over the month we fed 500 families. Not only did we reach those impacted the most by the effects of the virus, but we also ensured that the product delivered was appropriate, good quality and nutritious.

This important work still goes on today providing food for families who desperately need help.

During Ramadan

As Ramadan 2023 approaches, Kashmir Shelter is getting ready to assist the most vulnerable orphans, widows, and families. Over the course of the past year, we have been able to feed individuals in need more than 5000 times thanks to the support of our kind contributors. Families in Kashmir have been able to participate in Iftar and Suhoor together for the entire month without being concerned about where their next meal would come.
